I've been on a weight gain/loss roller coaster, my whole life and finally found myself over 300 lbs.!!! I decided enough was enough and it was time to do something about it. My girlfriend and I bought a house last year and I want to be around to enjoy our lives together.
So here I am on week 7 and I've lost 22 pounds. I feel fanfreakintastic!
My girlfriend is very supportive, but I wanted to see if there were others out there and how they keep their motivation alive and ideas for cooking and exercising....plus, I happen to be a great listener as well and if I can help be supportive of others out there, then I'd love to do so.

Just wanted to say Good Job, 22 pounds is great!! im trying to hit a goal of 10 a month, so i should be right there with you, im only on week 5 though....wi on fridays....and 11 down! its so great isn't it....seeing the pounds come off, is motivation enough for me!! i also have my boyfriend there for me...and supporting me!! Good Luck on your journey!!

Nykki-
Thanks for the post. It doesn't feel as if there are too many people on here? I had really thought there would be more of a community of support, but it was great hearing from you and I so appreciate it. I love the slide scales you have on the bottom of your text with your weight loss, where do you find those?
Congrats on 11 down! It's a huge accomplishment to decide to make a positive change in your life and every step towards that goal, is a healthier and happier you.

Wanted to say congratulations to you and if you want a group that's active with almost daily posting look under the general tab for "JATTNE"(jenny all the time no excuses). I started that group for similar reasons you mentioned in your post. I was looking for people who wanted to be committed to the program through the ups and downs with a determination to reach their goal weight. So if you wanna come over there I can promise you I post almost daily and would love to have more people join.

Again, all the best to you and I agree....this program can make you feel SO GOOD!

I tried finding JATTNE this morning and don't see the tab you are talking about. What forum are you under? I'd love to be able to get daily inspiration but am unsure of what forum I should be looking under.....would appreciate the help. Thanks! It was good to hear from a friendly person.... smile.gif
