10 pounds in 6 weeks to Kick Off Summer

I'm a returning member, but new to forums. I have decided to focus on 10 pound mini goals. It looked like the other threads were already underway, so thought I'd see if anyone else was ready to start a 10 pound challenge.

Start week - May 10th
Final week - June 21st

Anyone out there ever done this before? I could use some guidance on what we would post about. Is this strategy supported by Jenny Craig? If you set your goals in 10 pound increments in the center, do you start doing MOMO once you've lost 5 pounds?

I weighed in today (2nd week back OP) at an even 180. Looking forward to returning to the 170s next week!

My 10 in 6-weeks challenge just ended on Saturday, so I am totally up for another one. I love the challenges because it keeps everything fresh.

You don't mention how much you are looking to lose overall, but you wouldn't start the MOMO's until you reach your true halfway, so not the 5lbs for your current challenge, unless you are only hoping to lose 10lbs - does that make sense? For example, my OVERALL goal is to lose 106lbs so my halfway is 53lbs... they don't really consider any of your personal challenges in your JC goals.

I'd love the join this challenge. My other 10 lbs in 6 weeks challenge ends this week so I'll use my WI tomorrow as my starting point. I'll post again tomorrow!!

Count me in too! I have been getting really off track the last couple of weeks, so this will be a great way to kick start things again. Starting weight (May 11th) 164.2. If I can drop these 10 pounds I will be back to my pre-baby weight. Then I can start concentrating on the other 30 pounds I gained before I got pregnant. rolleyes.gif

You can find the tickers at www.tickerfactory.com, then cut and paste into your signature line (under my controls, signature) the ticker will automatically update itself here every time you update your weight on the ticker factory website.

I'm up for a 10 pound challenge in 6 weeks. I WI tomorrow for my 2nd week, so it's perfect timing on my part. I will be beginning my 3rd week.

Well it looks like I'm starting this challenge off at 216.6 lbs...so hopefully in 6 weeks I'll be at 206.6 lbs!!

All we have really done is just follow the JC plan, excersise etc..and we check in here once in a while. I weigh in on Mondays, so that is when I usually post. If you have questions, need support, just come on here! Don't really need a leader.

OK I am jumping in this challenge. I do weigh everyday though (yes I am one of "those") so my losses will be updated daily on the tickers! I am going to add in more exercise from now on, I really haven't been doing much! Good luck everyone!

I've been a on these forums for a while and have seen different approaches to the Ten At A Time section. Sometimes there is a thread with posts about the week, and a separate thread with just weigh-in results. That way people can just scroll through the numbers when they want updates, and take more time to respond to personals in the separate thread.

Count me in for the challenge, and feel free to use whatever format you feel most comfortable -- clearly you have a following of folks already!

I have 7.8 lbs to loose left and I definately need a jump start so I am in for 10 lbs in 6 weeks. 6 weeks from now was my orginal goal, it also happens to be the week of my 25th birthday!

In the beginning it seemed easy to loose weight the past few weeks things have slowed down and I gained two weeks ago, I made a big comeback this week loosing 4 lbs. So I am hoping to keep the downward trend going

Hi All,
Can I join??? I weigh in today and have had a tough time getting motivated. I've been a member since Dec 07 and have reached my 1/2 way point only to put back on 7 pounds since then. I need to lose this refound weight and start towards my goal of 165 pds. I weigh in this afternoon so I will post my weight tomorrow morning. Lets do this! Ten pounds will put me lower than I have been in 5 years.

Let me start by saying...HAPPY SAME BIRTHDAY WEEK!! Lol Its also going to be my 25th birthday smile.gif Mine falls on the 24th of June..how about yours?
My real goal is to be under 200 by my birthday week (6 weeks from now) but since its the 10 in 6 challenge I'll be really happy to get to 206 and anything past that would be spectacular!!
