Your post really hit home with me. Although I am not 16 anymore, I still remember being in your shoes and it's a heart breaking memory. Have you joined the JC program? It really works, and I promise you it will change your whole outlook on life!!!
Unless other people acutally battle with their weight, they don't understand the feelings that go along with it. I'm sure your friends mean well, they love you for who you are. It's not easy explaining to others how you feel about yourself, but you have come to the right place.
You have just taken the first step by reaching out to the people on this board. I hope you find the support you are looking for. We are all here for you!!! And congrats on finding a prom dress!!!!

Don't be so hard on yourself. Take a deep breath and give yourself a pat on the back for making it this far. It's tough to make this work with your kind of schedule but it's NOT impossible! You need to relax a little and do some planning. It may take a little time at first, but once you get the hang of it you will be on your way! When you start stressing over it, you are setting yourself up to fail.
Do you go to a center or are your a Direct member? There are consultants available to you either way. Talk to them, tell them your situation at school, and they can help you plan meals that don't need to be nuked. Read through the different topics on this board also, because there are a lot of great ideas that come from other busy people.
Try to think positive about what you are doing. Remember that there are others going through the same thing and you are not being over dramatic. We all feel the stresses of life and we all face roadblocks on our weightloss journey. Keep your chin up, and work at your own pace. You can do this and you can be successful at it!!!

Aw,hey I know exactly how you are feeling..At 8 I weighed about 118lbs,9 I weighed 140lbs,at 13,I weighed almost 180lbs.I've struggled with an eating disorder since.Iwas stuck between 150 and 160 for a few years afterwards, until I just reached a point where I got so depressed that I completely stopped eating and lost around 30lbs.I kept that off, went through a few tough months, and then got to a point where I felt I had to just quit cold turkey.I lost another almost 30lbs in 6-7 months, although I did it in a healthy way and without even trying, but I relapsed shortly after..And yes,for people with bulimia(because of the bingeing, and because for me personally I would try and fight not to compensate)we tend to sometimes gain weight.I've gained 40lbs.
I felt like I was finally "normal" when I'd reached the weight I was at,after feeling like the fat girl all of my previous teenage years. And yes,I remember the size 5 girls..always made me feel like crap about myself!
You'll make it though.Don't let them make you feel badly about yourself. We're all different.
I am always here for support though,so if you ever need an ear..

Hi my name is Jordan, and it sounds likeI started the same time you did, new years resolution?=] I'm 17 and a senior in highschool too. And though I'm not obese, I am quite overweight and I've always been self conscious about my weight and have tried everything from the Special K "diet" to Weight Watchers and nothing has worked. My schedule just adds to the issue because I am taking all advanced or AP classes at school and I have an apprenticeship after school that lasts until 5:30 or even as late as 10:30 or 11 and I'm taking two college classes at night twice a week on top of that, so my stress level is pretty high. I'm lucky enough to have friends who are supporting me and cheering me on, but I don't think they fully understand. I haven't been losing much the past two weeks but it's very encouraging to see that other people my age are having the same problems as I am.

Ohmygoodnessss! that's a lot of stress. I'm just trying to get through my last year of highschool =/ I can relate with the friend thing. My friends really aren't being suppourtive at all. I think they think it's a joke, and they aren't very suppourtive at all. My only suppourters right now are my family. It's tough at school with lunch because it's never hot. It's really hard doing this in highschool. You should continue doing the program! It's changing my life! I've learned so much and I've lost 7.2 pounds so far! Even though I'm losing only a pound a week, at least I'm losing and not gaining or maintaining! Stick with it! (:

Hey! My name is Meg. I totally understand what you are going through. I am 17 and I just went prom dress shopping about a month ago and I know what it feels like. I probably tried on 20 dresses and it took me 4 hours like you to find one. It's getting hard because I was on the program and I lost some weight but I kept losing myself and giving up and now before college I want to lose these pounds. I'll gladly be your friend and we can stick together. Let me know ok?
