I tried the Classico Chicken Parmesan dinner tonight and have to say it was very good! The chicken has a breading that is very tasty along with the bow tie pasta and the broccoli! I will definitely order this item again! biggrin.gif

I agree... the Chicken Parm was WONDERFUL!!! I had it for dinner last night, and topped it off with a bit of FF parmesan cheese on top. I'm going to stock up on this one. smile.gif Kaye

I am normally all about the pasta dishes & I was super excited to try this one but I really didn't like it. It was really dry, the chicken was kind of a strange texture and my broccoli had red sauce all over it. This would be a miss for JC in my book

wow, really? I loved it!

My broccolli had no sauce on it.

I microwaved the whole thing for 3 1/2 minutes, then i took the chicken out and put it in the toaster oven until it browned.

I microwaved the noodles another 30 seconds then ate it.

I thought the chicken was a really good quality too.

I didn't like the sauce; it had too much oregano in it and was harsh. I thought the chicken was spongey. I don't want soggy microwaved veggies in my entrees. I prefer to steam my fresh veggies. It was a miss for me too.

I tried this last night as well and I thought it was great! I was pleasantly surprised. And the chicken was tender, too! Great meal overall. smile.gif

But, aren't you also adding your own veggies, that you can prepare any way you like? I don't even count the few forkfuls of veggies that are present in some JC dinners as veggies at all. The veggies are what I add to the meal, that I buy fresh (or sometimes frozen).

I had it last night as well... I like it pretty good, however some of my pasta noodles got a little crispy as I was watching dancing with the stars and forgot to go in and stir it, so i think that was my fault but overall, it was very good.

Since they can do the breaded chicken, why not some baked / fried chicken entree????? YUM!

take care,
Jewell

I think a chicken dinner such as chicken breast with potatoes would be lovely! biggrin.gif But I agree, definitely if they can do a breaded chicken, they should try to do it in another meal! It would be so good.

I pretty much bake all of my dinner entree's in the oven while I fix DH's dinner. The chicken came out crispier than I think it would have been in the microwave. The oven for 45 minutes is the way to go!!! smile.gif Kaye

Tried this last night oh my ohmy.gif Oh my gosh was it good! I was very pleasantly surprised with the chicken, very lean white chicken. Very tasty & satisfying dish. Next time I am going to bake it in the oven. I sprinkled a little bit of garlic powder in with the sauce and noodles. Going to stock up on this item, as it is temporary!! biggrin.gif

Totally bummed!!! Just came from my WI (no loss, but just about two weeks of something in between maintenance and strict 1200.... so I say pretty much a success). Had planned to pick up a couple of these, but they were already OUT OF STOCK!! Apperently, clients were buying mega quantities.

Did find out some dirt, though. My JCC showed me a list of new stuff that's coming AND a list of stuff that's gonna be discontinued. Not sure of the timetable... but, say good-bye to Mesquite Chicken, Chicken Gumbo, Chocolate Graham Twists, Chili Con Carne (no worries... being replaced with a different chili), toffee bites (again, being replaced with something similar), Garden Vegetable Soup... that's all I can remember. Say hello to Chocolate Chip Cookie (sounds like one biiiiiig cookie or something), Chicken Noodle Soup, Spaghetti & Meatballs (coming back), Turkey Panini (coming back), a new toffee cookie.... again, sorry.... that's all I remember.

They're replacing the chili con carne (which means chili with meat) with Beef Chili. It'll probably be pretty similar. I don't think it's gonna be canned, though... probably shelf stable in a tray, is what I'm guessing. No worries! You'll still have chili - just reformulated.

Oh. The other item I forgot to mention that they're discontinuing (and the one I'M most upset about.... how could I forget to mention it??? too much trauma???) is the Silver Dollar Pancakes with the Veggie Sausage. BUT!!!! It's being replaced with Blueberry Pancakes with Veggie Sausage. So, not a total loss. But, I eat my pancakes as finger food (no syrup) and use the last two to make a sandwich with the sausage. Just not sure how that will fly with blueberry pancakes.....
