I usually eat something every 2-3 hours. It's better for your metabolism and blood sugars to eat often. I get up early and start eating breakfast just after I shower. Spacing food out to 6 times a day is a very healthy way to eat.

If you feel you can't do that, then try combining foods. Have fruit on your salad at lunch (or just with lunch). You can also try eating smaller foods... dried fruit or fruit juice aren't as bulky as fresh fruit.

Give yourself time to adjust, but do try to eat everything on your menu, especially the items with calories. If you have to cut anything, make it the salad... that's mostly just bulk anyway. Be sure to use the salad dressing fat exchange somewhere else in the day though. If you don't do the dressing, have 2 tsp of peanut butter (or some other equivalent). You need that fat exchange!

I just started last week and feel like all I do is EAT. Have to say that when I don't eat every few hours, I do get hungry. Seems like the key to the program is to make sure that you DONT get hungry. Just make a conscious plan to eat every few hours, even if you are not hungry. It will get easier. Also resist the urge to skip.
