I am getting married in July.

I started the program in September. I lost 10 lbs the first month. With work and holiday stress - I gained it all back. I started the program again today - and I need a buddy.

Are there any brides out there that need support like me? Any brides getting married in 2009 out there who want an email/chat buddy to help them stay on track?

Hi,

I'm getting married in July and I sure could use some support. It took me awhile to pick up the phone and call JC, but I am so glad I did. So far I am very happy with the program and I love the food.

I started 2 weeks ago and would love to have buddies helping me to stay on track at JC!

What is your WI day? Mine is Thursday.

I am getting married August 1st, and have been on JC for sometime now. I started off doing really good....but for the past few months I have been on and off the plan. Fortunately I have not gained anything but my loss has been very slow. I would love to join your group of buddies, any extra support is a great help and motivation! My W.I. day is also thursday.

Hope to hear from you soon
Tessa

hi All,

I'm getting married May 23rd. I know, not much time!! I am trying to lose 12 pounds by that time. I have about 7 weeks. It is a kind of aggressive goal since that is 1.7 per week, but I am going try :-) Trying to get rid of that little belly pooch. So much more obvious in white!!

Hi Luckylaw,

It is going to be hard, but you sound determined! Do you have more to lose then 12 pounds overall, or is it just those last pounds you want to lose to fit into your dress?
I only ask because they say the last few pounds are the hardest to lose. I know you will be able to do it!!! If not all 12 at least get really, really close to your goal. You have almost 2 months and not a lot to lose. You can get a lot of workouts in that time! smile.gif All of us here are on your side.
When did you start on JC and how are you enjoying your food?
I started 3 weeks ago and have lost about 5lbs.
Don't know about this week. I weigh in tomorrow. Will have to let you know.
Wishing you all the luck. Keep us updated!

Rachel

Hi!

Yes, I want to lose more overall than the 12lbs. I set that goal for the wedding, since it seemed somewhat reasonable :-) I want to lose about another 10-13lbs (25lbs overall) after the wedding. We are moving the week after next, so things are so hectic right now!! Once we move into the new house, I will have my treadmill set up and can get regular workout in then. I have only been back on the program since Tuesday. It is going pretty good, but it is also TOM, so I think I have cravings/water weight, I wouldn't ordinairly wouldn't be dealing with. Thanks for the support!!

Good job on the 5lb weight loss Rachel!! That is awesome!! That is 1.67 pounds per week!! That is where I need to be apprximately too!! Definitely let me know how it goes at WI! I'm rooting for you laugh.gif

Hi,

How did you do this week Luckylaw?
I can imagine things must be really hectic with all the wedding planning and the moving planning as well! But things will be easier when you will have all your boxes unpacked and you have your treadmill set up in its place and you are able to workout at your own pace.
You said it was your TOM and you have been having cravings. Have you been giving into them? I know it is hard for me at the TOM. I crave sweet things badly. I would keep them out of the house but my fiance has a sweet tooth and we always have something sweet in the house. If it is not something sweet then it is something salty and crunchy and that will usually suffice.
How did you find your first week on JC? How are you enjoying the food? Are you finding it hard to stick to the plan? For me it seemed like when I first started JC it seemed like suddenly everyone wanted to take me out to eat and I had places to go. I just wanted to eat my JC meals and now I had to try and incorporate meals on my own. It can be hard, but so far so good.
Another 1lb gone this week. Not the 1.5 loss I wanted, but I'll take it.

Take care,

Rachel

Hi!

My mother came to visit last Thursday, so yes, it has been difficult to stick to plan. Now that she is here, of course there are tons of reasons to go out to eat, etc. Also since we have been out shopping (for bridal stuff), it has been hard to stick on plan. I find that when there is another person around, it is difficult for me, because my mom doesn't want to eat something seperately than me. How do you handle this with your fiance? Do you guys eat seperate meals and he just makes enough for himself? I did manage to have a .6 loss this week, that is good! Still not where I want to be, but okay considering the distractions I have been having. I think closing is moving back until the 20th again. So stressful!!

how is everything going for you Rachel?

With my fiance I cook a good casserole of meatloaf or some kind of staple that he can eat off of all week. He also loves rice and chicken, so I will throw a breast on the george forman and steam some rice - he always eat the same veggies I eat anyway. This way he is not feeling neglected (as I normally LOVE to cook all the time). It seems to be working for him - he is very supportive with thsi diet - I have tried others - and this is the one he wants me to stay on.

Hi,

Welcome Moni-and congratulations. My wedding is in July. I wish you all the luck on the program! How are you liking JC? It's so great your fiance is so supportive of you on this diet. Congrats too on your weight loss so far!

I do what you do and cook veggies for my fiance and I because that way we feel like we are eating the same thing. Then depending on whoever comes home from work first- (usually me) starts cooking something for his dinner. I like to cook so I don't mind making him a piece of fish or chicken.
I have only been on JC for a few weeks, but we have dinner down to a routine. By the time his dinner is almost ready he is helping me get my dinner ready. (really popping it in the micro-but sometimes I doctor it up a bit)
He is also very supportive of me on JC. He knows how important this is for me and knows I want to make this work.

I think the hardest part is the weekends. He wants to go out with friends or go out to dinner. He knows I want to stick to plan, but still wants me to try to have a momo. I have worked it into my program, but I am afraid if I do it every week it will affect my weight loss. It definitely did last week. But I don't want to stop going out. last week we had relatives in town and I went out to eat 5 times. It drove me crazy trying to figure out what to order.

luckylaw, how did you do going out when your mother was in town? Did you eat any of your JC meals or did you go off the program when she was visiting? You did still lose so you did good! I stayed the same so I guess I didn't make as wise as choices as you. I hope you got some nice things this week. Shopping can be stressful too!

Take care!

Yes the weekends are the worst! Especially with family visiting and wedding planning... we are out and about alot! Last weekend he took me on a mini vacation to Carmel so we could focus on wedding planning with out the distractions... AWESOME!!! BUT, I gained 1.7 pounds this week.... darn it! So I have to hit it hard this week. Its tough to not go out, or to go out and try to be the good one all the time. Just wait until all the parties start happening!!

So how did everyone do this weekend?
Any setbacks? I did eat out on Saturday night, but I think I made a pretty smart choice. I had a Greek salad with grilled shrimp. It didn't have a lot of feta cheese which was good because I love the cheese. smile.gif But I did have a few olives.
Now the week has begun and it will be much easier to stick to plan. I HOPE this weeks weight loss will be better.
I have a dress fitting this week. It's a little nerve wracking to see yourself in your wedding dress, but also exciting.
Good luck everyone on this week!
Keep posting! I want to know how everyone is doing.

Rachel

So how is everyone doing? Moni75? Luckylaw?
There have been no posts in awhile.
How have your weeks been for JC?
Remember if one week isn't the best there is always next week!

How does this weekend and week look for you guys? Any big stress events? I just have a 8yr old birthday party to go to on Saturday afternoon. If I can avoid the cake and ice cream I should be fine. But it will be hard. I love cake and frosting. And I bet there will be lots of candy too. I have a BIG sweet tooth. Which is part of the reason I am here. smile.gif

Are there any brides out there that need some help and support to stay on track like me? I sure could use a buddy through all of this.

Rachel
