This is a excellent choice for lunch. It is very tasty and filling! Hopefully, we can get this one to stay!

It was OK. I did enjoy it, and will probably buy it once every week while it lasts.... but I'm not going to cry over it when its gone. I might have liked it better if the turkey had been sliced instead of mashed.

I like getting new things to try out. Keep them coming JC!!!

No. I cooked mine in the microwave according to package directions and the bread was toasted very nicely. However the turkey is minced, like you would for a chicken or turkey salad, so it's very mushy. I had mine w/ tomato and mustard and even w/ juicy tomato the bread was not soggy. Not bad...but I wouldn't spend the money on this one again. The mush was too much.

I agree, I wasn't expecting a "turkey salad", was hoping for sliced turkey and cheese. Oh well, it was still a sandwich and the bread was crispy. Not bad, but if it was discontinued I probably wouldn't miss it.

I love love LOVE this one. The turkey mash is a little off putting, but I'm guessing they did it that way to get the panini to cook evenly in the microwave. The slices might actually make for a mushy sandwich.

I really enjoyed this one BUT!!! Big Caution here. I'm afraid all it did is to set me up for a craving for MORE!... I have been on the JC program now for 5 months and have done very well I feel ......... but I didn't realize how much I missed having something Toasted / bread until I had this item. It's so LITTLE LOL that once I ate it? I was looking around for ' MORE' so had Grilled Cheese Sandwiches for supper that nite instead of the proper JC meal . So I think I will pass on this one ................. I enjoyed it, but for me? it seemed to be a Trigger. JMHO>

I found it to be insipid, at best. I don't understand how there can be so little flavor. I lived in Italy and know Italians can turn out a nice, portion controlled panini with a ton of flavor, so I suspect JC could as well.

The filling was dull and mushy even after I added fresh basil and some turns of the pepper mill. That said, it is an interesting idea. Yes, the bread did crisp up in the microwave. I had particularly good results by microwaving and then crisping in the toaster oven for an additional minute.

Bottom line: No, I won't buy this one again but would try another flavor.

Good (smoked turkey) flavor, toasted in microwave just fine.
BUT- the consistency of the "turkey pate"...WOW. Wasn't expecting THAT!
Would be MUCH more palatable with Sliced turkey and a slice of LF cheese.

Me too- I really enjoy actual BREAD too! Nice for a change.
But please slice the turkey on a panini.

I picked up 2 of the panini in my food order last Monday. I'm thinking I will add veggies and jazz it up with spices or whatnot and 'grill' it in my new George Forman grill. I was looking forward to JC having a sandwich that was bread and not a roll. Hmmm.

I added a little somethin'-somethin' to my panini - the look of it was a little off-putting: After microwaving it for 1 minute, I add a slice of (it sounds wierd, trust me, it's delish) of soy pepper jack cheese to each 1/2, then microwave for the second minute. The cheese melts over it so you don't see the pinkish blob on the bread (more appetizing). I used soy cheese because I figured as long as I'm making healthy choices in my life, soy is a real product, as opposed to what they add to "light" cheese or (God forbid) fat-free cheese! The spices in the pepper jack really tastes good, plus you are adding protein to your meal, without much added fat. Try it, you'll like it! smile.gif

I love this entree!
I really don't feel as if I'm on a diet eating this panini...LOL
I always put mine in the oven and top it off with lettuce and tomatoes.

I love this as well. I'll add a slice of tomato, maybe some fresh basil, and I always add either broccoli sprouts or alfalfa sprouts. I add the sprouts to the chicken sandwich and turkey burger as well.

This has been a permanant menu item for over a year now... this thread was started way back in 2008 when it was a temp item! They made the turkey less "mushy", and brought it back early last year.

Take care,
Angela
