Hey everyone,
Looking for support from single JC members. If you've gone to the success stories and looked for the categories and wondered where is the singles category, or the category for those who can't say I gained weight after having for kids; If you've noticed that there is a difference in the support you need as a single person please reply. Let's discuss how to make this work for us. I haven't had the chance to figure out how the JC friends thing works Yet...

Little about me.
From the Romulus, Mi area.
34, Single, No children
I was never skinny, but for most of my life I was small even though I never saw myself that way. Let's just say I gained 60lbs before I had to give up two piece bathing suits.

Eventually I blew up to an all time high of about 280lbs at 5'4". Eventually lost 90lbs, gained all of that back and then some. Up and down, but mostly up for years. Lost 30lbs prior to joining JC at the beginning of 2008 because I needed more support. Actually I should say I needed "some" support.

Main struggles
1. I've never felt insecure about my weight. Loving me with every pound lost or gained. Its hard to feel the need to lose weight when you are BBL (Big Beautiful and Loving It), and you are shocking the doctors with amazing medical reports.
2. Sticking to the food and working past the cravings.

Now I am looking for individuals and/or groups to communicate on line, in person, with about my experiences with JC and in life as a full figured single person trying to lose weight. Also, if anyone is looking to create a group(s) for exercise (walking, dancing, books, etc.), meet-n-greets, support clubs, etc. let me know.

Hi!

Are you still doing Jenny? How are you?

My name is Brenda and I have struggled wiht my weight all my life. Ten years ago I decided I needed to control this for health reasons. I lost well over a hundred pounds and kept it off for years. Last year I started dating someone and gained 10 back. I had 10 more I wanted to lose anyway so now I was 20 over my goal! JC has helped me re-gain control and I have 2.6 pounds to go. It is indeed a life change. It makes dating very difficult. I get very tired of pwople telling me I'm thin and I shouldn't be so obsessive about my weight. I always respond with I'm not obsessive about my weight just my health.

This is a very exciting time for me. I am the healthiest I have ever been.

I have a lot of respect for you and your goals. Be strong and it is so worth the hard work.

Hi Daisyilove,
I rejoined JC about the same time you joined (middle of August). I'm very close to my halfway goal and also very close to getting out of the overweight category on the BMI chart. The last time I got down to this weight with JC my consultant asked me (even though she knew I had not reached my goal) if I still wanted to lose weight because I looked fine to her. I have a new consultant now who's much more supportive! Someone at work told me recently that I'm getting too thin because her curves are bigger than mine. I realized that her comment had more to do with how she felt about herself than it did about the way I look. Don't worry about what other people think about your weight. The only thing that really matters is your health. Being on JC I know that you know what a healthy weight is for you. Congratulations on losing 100 pounds and on getting on JC to lose that last bit of weight.

Linda
