Beware! They are great- a FEW in a salad. But don't be munchin' out on them.
I will NEVER do that again. Ugh.

For those of us who have eaten a fatty diet for a long time (the typical American) it is a pretty good chance there are some stones already hidden away in our gallbladder. The perverse truth is that weight loss can sometime reveal gallbladder problems in people who did not realize they had them all along.
That is what has happened to me. I learned I have a big old stone in my gallbladder a few years ago when I was having a test done on my kidneys. It has never really bothered me until just lately when I have finally succeeded in loosing the magic number of over 10% of my original weight. I'm working at getting it out as a scheduled procedure instead of as an emergency. It is more than a little annoying but I am not letting it change my determination to get all this weight off.

I can't tell you how happy I am to read all these threads. I was really getting worried and thinking the worst. I have been dying!!!! I've been on JC for 5 months and have lost 24 lbs and have been fine up until 4 weeks ago. I started a new job the day the gas started and thought it was somthing at work. I've beno and gasx but nothing works. I'm am going back to eating all my own food this week to see what happens and I'm never eating AT bars again.
Thanks everyone.

Thanks for saying that someone else has this shall we say little problem.
Soooo funny.....and true! Is anybody else effected by the so called "beef" products like Hawaiian Beef, meatloaf, etc.? It's the worse. On a positive note,

Blanching the veggies, especially broccoli, will help with the enzymes that cause the gas.
Steer clear from the artificial sweetners too. Studies have shown that the chemicals in those (aspratme, splenda) make us gassy too. Aspratme is finally documented as a cause of certain types of cancer as well so I'd stay away from all the "fake" foods out there.
Real food, real weight loss, real success.

Most of the Jenny food is very high in fiber or maybe not very high but higher probably than most of us may be use to in other foods we were consuming to add the poundage, couple that with the increase in fruits and veggies you are probably consuming (at least for me) and well the combo is explosive (pun intended). So at least we are all pretty regular which is good for our colons, nothing sitting in there to make us bloated and constipated so yea....

As for the Anythime bars - I'd rather eat poison then an Anytime bar! I had one bite and I spit the second one out. Too gross for words! Am I alone in this?

According to my consultant, the AT Bars have tons of fiber and protein, which causes the gas.
I do the AT Bar exchange, which is a non-fat, light yogurt AND supplements.
This is a much more comfortable (and tastier) alternative.
