> hike Squaw Peak (1.2 miles to the top of the mountain)
> SHOP

> Closing night of Hello Dolly (a musical at a local theater) complete with after-party
> Opening night of The Buddy Holly Story (another musical) complete with yet another party!
My husband is a professional trumpet player and works at a local theater. They do great shows and the cast is just great. She's excited to see backstage and get to talk to the actresses. She's also a singer, piano and flute player.

Don't wait for goal to start doing things you love. Who cares what you look like? If you're out there, doing something you enjoy, that's poweful stuff. You'll be happier and more balanced. Have fun!!!!

I have to disagree a tiny bit with the previous post, though. Certainly, it's not that you SHOULDN'T do the things you love while you're overweight, but I've been both really heavy and really fit before, and the confidence level when I was thin and fit made every activity -- even the simplest of things, like going to classes or out to eat -- immeasurably more enjoyable.

For my birthday we probably will go out to eat but to our favorite restaurant in the world and during lunch where the entrees and the prices are slimmed down.
I'm not much of a drinker but when I do, I have a full glass of water between drinks. It fills me up and your spending more calries just walking back and forth to the restroom!

For me...
-shop more and ENJOY it
-run in cute jogging shorts(no more thigh scrub)
-I would even like to join a running club and participate in charity races(5K,10K)
-I'd also love to help others reach their goals
For my Birthday which will be 8.28 and my 39th(wow) last year in the 30s:
--I plan to be down 50lbs (weight starting with a ONE(1) for the first time in 8 years) and my gift for working my rear off will be a Tiffany Cuff bracelet. It will be my reminder that I'm worth no less than the best...in my relationships with others, in my life, and most importantly my relationship with myself. No more self anger/hatred for not getting this done.
Thanks for the topic and I say GO FOR IT!!! If I could only go back in time....I tell you I wish I could've spent my teenage years shopping but more importantly I wish for the mental FREEDOM and headspace that is cleared away when weight isn't on my mind.
You girls don't EVER GIVE UP on what you want the most for yourself!
I hope all of you make your teenage dreams and beyond come true!!
Hope
