I too would love a Veggie Burger. The variety for Vegetarians is just not there. Legumes would be good also!

Hello from Chai Tea., I like the Penne Pasta thats one that I really like alot. But the veggie burger is the best let's keep after them and we will together make progress. Stay strong!!! regards, Chai Tea

I am confused??? In the JC menu description for Penne Pasta is lists "Bolognese sauce" - isn't that a meat sauce??? Please let me know because I would really love another option for dinner (although it is still pasta). Thanks rolleyes.gif

Not sure whether the Penne Pasta is still available. Not sure whether they used real beef in it or it was soy protein in the sauce. Nonetheless, it was really good, the sauce was the best of all the different tomato sauces used in the meals.

I am in agreement, it would be so nice to have a veggie burger. Love the turkey burgers as, almost everyone here does, but a 'vegetarian day' once a week would be good, and healthy, too! Providing it is not like those hockey pucks in the JC breakfast meals! LOL! smile.gif

I whole-heartedly agree! We need more vegetarian options! I find it very challenging not getting bored with my few selections, basically pizza and pasta. I tried this last year and left the program after a couple of months. Since returning 7 weeks ago, I've been more creative and have been buying some of the non-vegetarian entrees and pulling out the meat, replacing it with Morning Star or Boca products....but I feel this goes against one of my primary reasons for going vegetarian a few years ago ... animals are still being used in processing the non-veggie meals. Anyone else have this dilemma??

I wrote to JC Customer Support requesting additional vegetarian options and just received this reply:

Thank you for contacting Jenny Craig.

Jenny Craig does not offer a vegetarian menu. However, we do offer
meatless items, which contain no animal by-products. These items are
symbolized by a Carrot icon next to the cuisine items. While these
items contain no animal by-products, it is important for us to state
that certain items within our meatless menu contain dairy and egg as
well as some animal-derived enzymes. These animal-derived products
include, but are not limited to, amylase, buttermilk, calcium lactate,
L-Cysteine, egg, gelatin, honey, lactose, milk, cheese, rennet, sodium
caseinate and whey and are designed to meet the needs of lacto-ovo
vegetarians. For additional information, please contact our Customer
Care department at 1-800-JennyCare.

Kinda disappointing.... I guess I'll just keep substituting as I have been....
