Is JC trying to get rid of us?

I had a potato today for lunch and that was yummy. I'm also psyched for some enchiladas tomorrow. I'm sorry I missed the veggie burger. Maybe they will hear our cries for more veggie choices.

I just joined JC today, (April 7, 2009) I was on LA Weight Loss for a year and a half and lost 90 lbs. They are gone and I have gained about half of the weight back. I liked LA because you used your own food and learned to eat in the real world. But I realize now that I need the personal support of seeing someone and being held accountable. I know that the food is not the best, but I am hoping that this will be the catalyst to get me going again. I am not looking forward to a diet of pasta and pizza. I really wish they used more meatless protien options.

I think this is a self-fulfilling prophecy on their part. I think a lot of vegetarians don't consider JC because they don't know that there are vegetarian options -- JC has never advertised vegetarian options. And of course vegetarians won't join the program if they don't offer much choice or variety. I'm sure the vegetarian community would embrace JC if they offered a good vegetarian program and put a little effort into marketing it. It's very frustrating -- I'm a returning customer who WANTS to spend my money at JC. I don't understand how, in an economy like this, JC wouldn't try to get and retain as many customers as possible.

I can see Jenny Craig is a waste of time for veg eaters. I won't be back. And I darn sure won't waste my time on Jenny Craig no matter how I want to not do nutrisystem.
Vegetarian dishes are not limited to side dishes nor loads of tomatoe sauce and/or cheese. Sounds like Jenny Craig needs a LOT of help learning how to cook!!
This probably will be deleted but I needed to add my voice to the choir.
Thanks for talking and helping us know the 'reality' here. It helps me decide. I had no idea Jenny Craig was that limited and primitive in their outlook.

HI, I'm a vegetarian from Canada and it seems the available menu in the USA is different than what is offered to us. We only have pasta, pizza and baked potato items suitable for veggies here. The boss is flexible about me wanting to buy some of my own entrees, but the counselor was down right rude, they must be on commision.

well they did not delete this, good move it would only prove our point. Five different shapes of pasta with the same tomatoe sauce on it does not variety make. i want beans and rice and lentils and curry. Foods from India and mexico and other cultures that eat no meat. The U.N. announced recently that it would promote vegetarianism because it is a better choice for the environment. It will aid in cutting greenhouse gases, it's about time society got an education and a reality check about the health benefits of this lifestyle. Not everyone who is vegetarian is a radical activtist. We want to be respected as any culture who embraces this dietairy choice.
JC hire a dietitian who has majored in vegetarianism, it would be good for Business.
